FESTIVAL OF THE TOMATO

The Festival of the Tomato takes place on August 31st. Held at Covert Farms, just north of Oliver, enjoy the fantastic view of 450 acres of organic farmland, nestled at the foot of McIntyre Bluff.

With over forty-five years’ experience in organic farming, they have been producing quality fruit and vegetables for wholesale production in western Canada, as well as keeping local fruit stands well-stocked.

They have been the official suppliers for the Penticton Peach Festival since 1947.

Enjoy a fun-filled day with beautiful vegetable and flower gardens to stroll, a delicious lunch on the patio and awesome tastings from Dunham and Froese Winery.

Some of the best highlights of the day include:

  • the famous tomato catapult competition,
  • iron tomato chef contest,
  • mainstage entertainment with tours and
  • lots of kids activities.

Bring a change of clothes and a lawn chair to enjoy the most fun you’ve had in a long time!
